Pairing the browser extension

Last updated July 27, 2026

The flowscope browser extension arrives in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome on its own and usually connects to your work account on its own too. Once you have signed in to flowscope in that browser and accepted the agreement, which happens while you pair the app, the extension recognizes your session and pairs itself to the same account, with nothing to click.

Pairing it yourself

If it has not connected on its own, for instance because you signed in on a different browser from the one the extension is installed in, click the small flowscope icon near the address bar to open the extension. It shows Not connected and a Connect this browser button: choose it, sign in with the same work account if you are prompted, and it does the rest.

Not connected

Nothing is recorded until it connects.

Confirming it connected

The popup then reads Waiting to start until your engagement admin begins capture, and Recording in this browser once they have.

Starts when your admin starts capture.

Pausing it

While it is recording, the popup's Pause control stops capture in this browser. It offers two hours by default and starts again on its own at the end; you can also pause until you resume it yourself, and resume at any point from the same place.
